Dr. Francis Is a Featured Author for Black History Month! The Zoryan Institute is featuring Dr. Francis for their 2022 BHM Celebration! Check their website, their Facebook or Instagram accounts to access the feature. As part of the feature, Dr. Francis’ article, Performing While Black, is now open access via the University of Toronto Press website (hyperlinked), until March 16, 2022!

 

 

Dr. Francis is a 22-23 RISe Recipient! RISe is a College of Arts and Sciences-wide competition. The award is granted to faculty who exhibit scholarly excellence.

 

Dr. Francis was awarded a 2022 Visiting Scholar Program Fellowship with the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research at Bordeaux-Montaigne University, France.

 

Dr. Francis is co-directing the following Francophone program for France-Atlanta 2021 (with the Embassy of France in the United States)! Francophone Crossings. Women in Transatlantic Conversations with Gabonese writer and artist Charline Effah for Part 1; and French scholar, writer, and artist Fabienne Kanor for Part 2. Register now!
